Long lines are how recall gets trained. The dog gets real distance and freedom, you keep a way to stop the session going wrong. The problem has always been the material — webbing holds water, drags through mud and starts to smell within a month.
Details
- BioThane — a woven polyester core coated in soft, flexible PVC. Strong, light, and gentle on hands and paws.
- Two lengths — 15 feet for close recall work, 30 feet for open ground.
- Three-quarter inch wide — enough to hold without being heavy on the collar.
- Stays flexible in the cold — it does not go stiff like wet webbing.
- Wipes clean — a damp cloth for most days, warm water and mild dish soap when it has been a bad one.
- Six colours — brick red, jet black, neon green, neon orange, neon pink and true blue.
Use it safely
Never wrap a long line around your hand or wrist, and use it in open space away from other dogs and legs. Attach it to a harness rather than a collar — a dog hitting the end of 30 feet at a run puts real force on the neck.
